About

Hello, Kindred Soul,

I’m Tracy MacDonald. Welcome!

Thank you for being here.

I invite you into this space where I share my experiences and thoughts, love of writing, photography, travel, and soul-nourishing moments.

Collaborative projects, hosting dinner parties and conversing with kindred spirits fuel my spirit.  I’ve learned that seeking beauty, practicing yoga, and gratitude are essential for tranquility and inspiration on my journey.

I was born a southern Georgia girl, but I’ve followed my nomadic heart to special places. I’ve lived in Bulgaria, France, England, Swaziland (East Africa), Egypt, and now Honduras. We are a diplomatic family overseas and move every few years.  Life as an expat stretches my comfort zone at times, but my husband, son, and I find exploring other countries and cultures abundantly rewarding.

I adore my family and have a special affinity for ambient spaces, dining alfresco, good coffee, wine, and loose tea. Browsing markets, book shops, art galleries, and views of the water bring me joy. I can sit for hours in cafes with a book or journal and a fountain pen. (I wrote about this more in the post “All Things Writerly“).

Please tell me, what are your passions? What inspires you?

Love and light,  Tracy

  1. Starry, you are a creative and bold artist whose “starriness” is a guiding light for by.others to see by. Love your blog and will follow it avidly. Gala

  2. Love your blog, Tracy! Emily shared this with me because she know how I love to connect with other artists. So proud of you for stretching yourself and making marriage, family, your beautiful child, and your passion for creativity all work together. Best wishes, Jerolyn Carroll
