About

IMG_4124Hello, Kindred Soul, Welcome!

I’m Tracy MacDonald. Thank you for being here.

I invite you into this space where I capture soul-nourishing moments about what inspires me and my love of writing, photography, and travel. Conversing and collaborating with kindred spirits fuels my spirit.  I have a special affinity for ambient spaces, dining alfresco, good coffee, wine, and loose tea. Browsing markets, book shops, and art galleries, and spending time near the water bring me joy. I can sit for hours in cafes with a book or journal and a fountain pen.

My professional background:  I’m a Southerner from Columbus, Georgia with a B.A. from Wesleyan College in Sociology. As a Threat Finance consultant and public speaker, I draw on my experience as a former Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service and from my key roles as a Counter-Terrorism Instructor for the Defense Intelligence Agency and as a Lead Associate in Counter-Illicit Finance for Booz Allen Hamilton. I am passionate about female empowerment and enjoy sharing my experiences to inspire other women.

Living and working abroad in several countries has given me a unique lens through which to view the world. I’m currently posted with my husband, son, and Golden Retriever “Biscuit” as diplomats supporting the U.S. Embassy’s mission in Libreville, Gabon.

In my writing life, I’m an active member of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association (WFWA) and have recently completed the first draft of my debut fiction novel, Becoming Agent McKenna. I enjoy speaking on podcasts and am published in Bella Grace Magazine and on Stampington & Company’s official blog, Grace Notes.
