Hello, Kindred Soul, Welcome!

I’m Tracy MacDonald. Thank you for being here.

I invite you into this space (my “soul sofa,”)  where I share my thoughts about soul-nourishing moments through my love for writing, photography, and travel,

Collaborative projects and conversing with kindred spirits fuel my spirit. I’ve also learned that seeking beauty, practicing yoga, and focusing on gratitude are essential for tranquility and inspiration on my journey.

We are a diplomatic family overseas and move every few years.  Life as an ex-pat stretches my comfort zone at times, but my husband, son, and our golden retriever “diplo-dog” Biscuit and I find exploring other countries and cultures abundantly rewarding.

I was born a southern Georgia girl, but I’ve followed my nomadic heart to special places. I’ve lived in Bulgaria, France, England, Swaziland (East Africa, now called the country of Eswatini), Egypt, and Honduras, and we are currently living near the equator in Libreville, Gabon.

I adore my family and have a special affinity for ambient spaces, dining alfresco, good coffee, wine, and loose tea. Browsing markets, book shops, art galleries, and views of the water bring me joy. I can sit for hours in cafes with a book or journal and a fountain pen.
